It seems that virtual reality technology, from its perspective as a business that aimed at mass consumption, is not surviving the hype it had at the time.
However, the key to its resistance and probable start-up could be in the video games sector, especially for the amount of work that Sony has put into PlayStation VR.
Precisely, the brand is aware of what it represents in the sector and recently Shuhei Yoshida spoke about it.
During an interview with Wccftech, Shuhei Yoshida, president of SIE Worldwide Studios, he talked about the experience of PlayStation with the virtual reality sector and pointed out that there is confidence on the part of the brand to continue developing that technology and taking advantage of its use for gaming.
In this regard, the president considered that the development of hardware and its understanding by the studies involved in game development will be essential.
I think that the hardware experience will improve the VR experience. VR has a lot to learn even at companies that have been making games for a long time. I realized that as soon as I started VR. I had to learn a lot because I couldn’t do it with normal TV games. But we had to have many guidelines for danger, but with the developer’s ingenuity, we were able to see how to do it, and VR makes us think about what the human abilities are, and after three years such knowledge is growing.
In other PlayStation VR news, to the surprise of many, Blood & Truth has been one of the titles for PlayStation VR best received by the community. For this reason, SIE London Studio promised to support the virtual reality action game for a long time.
For a long time, we knew that Blood & Truth will have several additional free content. Fortunately, the time has come to return to the title because the studio released several news today.
To start, there is a new level of difficulty ideal for experts. This is the Hard Mode, which is available for you to play individual missions or the whole story via the New Game Plus mode.
In addition, if you complete the story in that difficulty mode, you will unlock a new trophy. SIE London Studio revealed on the PlayStation Blog that Blood & Truth also received several additional challenges.
Blood & Truth gets a new update today, adding Skeet-shooting challenges, Hard Mode, and new Trophies to the #PSVR action shooter.
To be exact, the company added 5 Skeet challenges that are compatible with the PlayStation VR Aim Controller. The studio also made the following statement.
It’s time to take your skills to the next level with a new group of challenges where dishes are thrown into the air. It’s about having a firm hand and good aim, load and be prepared.
The challenges will test several of your skills, as there will be some resistance and even one with puzzle mechanics. To offer an even more interesting challenge, SIE London Studio hid a gnome in each challenge. If you finish everyone, you will unlock a trophy called GNOMAGEDDON.
I remind you that Blood & Truth released on May 28, 2019, exclusively for PlayStation VR.
