PlayStation Now Gets Game Boost, Bringing Total up to 250

PlayStation have added 205 games to the PlayStation Now service bringing the number up to 250. This includes a big list of Capcom titles.

If you’ve tried PlayStation Now for the PlayStation 4 then you’ll know that while it is a good service, the choice of games was limited. This appears to be changing though with 105 new subscription games being added.

With the addition of these games that will bring the number to 250, which is a more reasonable number. More interesting are the games that are actually being added. If you are a fan of Capcom games, then you are definitely in look. These include:

  • Resident Evil 6
  • Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition (Existing Subscription Game)
  • Resident Evil 4
  • Resident Evil: Code Veronica X
  • Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles
  • Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles
  • Ultra Street Fighter 4
  • Street Fighter 3 Third-Strike Online Edition
  • Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix
  • Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix
  • Mega Man 10
  • Mega Man 9
  • Bionic Commando: Rearmed
  • Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2
  • Strider
  • Capcom Arcade Cabinet: All-in-One-Pack
  • Lost Planet 3
  • Lost Planet 2
  • Lost Planet: Extreme Condition
  • Dead Rising 2
  • Dead Rising 2: Off the Record
  • Asura’s Wrath

Alongside there are 80 other games, with highlights including:

  • Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments
  • Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD
  • Ragnarok Odyssey Ace
  • Arcania: The Complete Tale
  • F1 Race Stars
  • Fatal Fury
  • Samurai Showdown
  • The Kind of Fighters ’95, ’96, ‘94

Along with these there are plenty more, in the trailer for the new games that you can see above you’ll be sure to see some that will catch your interest. If you’ve not used your free trial of the service, now may be a good time to do it.

With the sudden rush of playable PlayStation 3 games using the service, is this Sony’s way to combat the coming of backwards compatibility on the Xbox One? With a price tag of $19.99 per month or $44.99 for three, this is questionable competition for a free service.
