Pick 10 System Is Hinted To Be Returning In Black Ops 4

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 players might be getting a familiar surprise with the apparent return of the Pick 10 system, though it’s just a hint so far. The hinting comes from Treyarch’s own Twitter page, which only contained ten small dots on a black field, but it’s likely to come soon.

The Pick 10 system is an older Call of Duty mechanic, being used in Black Ops 2 and 3, Call of Duty Online, and Call of Duty Advanced Warfare. The system gives players the ability to modify their various loadouts and changing up to ten different elements of it. Considering that the system was fairly popular, it should be well-received among other Call of Duty players.

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 has been on a bit of shaky ground lately with some fans for a number of different rather controversial announcements recently, such as the multiplayer being more like Overwatch than Call of Duty, the game not having any sort of campaign mode, and perks being locked behind loot boxes. The return of the Pick 10 system may be intended to help keep some positive press.

While these are all mainly leaks or rumors, and thus there’s no actual proof that these things will actually be happening, if they are then they’ll drastically be changing the formula of Call of Duty, or at least Treyarch’s version of Call of Duty.

While Black Ops 3’s multiplayer was sort of like Overwatch (with a number of pre-established characters that could be configured with different loadouts), and Call of Duty has had a thing with lootboxes lately (to the point where Call of Duty WW2 put up microtransactions for in-game currency before it even released and has a mechanic where players can watch others opening up their own boxes), all of these changes might end up making Black Ops 4 nearly unrecognizable.

Either way, if it’s true we’ll be seeing the Pick 10 system in the multiplayer of Call of Duty Black Ops 4 when it comes out.
