While Nvidia is yet to announce it but one of its AIB partners has confirmed that GTX 1660 Ti is actually coming later this month.

Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti has been in the news for quite a while thanks to leaks and rumors. While Nvidia is yet to announce it but one of its AIB partners has confirmed that GTX 1660 Ti is actually coming.

The information comes from TweakTown, who claims that AIB source of theirs has confirmed that Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti is real and is coming soon.

Also, this isn’t the only leak confirming the existence of Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti. VideoCardz spotted new listings for the GTX 1660 Ti on Russian retail websites.

If the listings are to be believed then the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti will launch on February 15, 2019. As for the GTX 1660, the GPU is expected to launch in early March.

The GTX 1660 will feature 1280 CUDA cores and the GTX 1660 Ti will feature 1536 CUDA cores. Despite not being RTX GPU, the GTX 1660 will be based on the Turing Architecture just without any RT Cores for real-time Ray Tracing.

Furthermore, both GTX 1660 and 1660 Ti feature 192-bit memory bus. As for the VRAM, the GTX 1660 reportedly will come in 3 GB and 6 GB GDDR5 variants while the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti will feature 6 GB of GDDR6 memory.

The leaks don’t end here, recently images appeared on the internet revealing GTX 1660 Ti performance compared to the GTX 1060. According to the leak, GTX 1660 Ti is 19.4% faster compared to the Nvidia GTX 1060.

While Nvidia has introduced RTX 2060 but it is more of a successor of GTX 1070 than GTX 1060. The RTX 2060 costs $350 which $100 expensive compared to GTX 1060 at launch.

That might be the reason why Nvidia is looking to introduce GTX 1660 as a proper successor to GTX 1060.

RTX 2060 outperforms both GTX 1060 and GTX 1070 Ti and it costs more. It makes sense that Nvidia will introduce a cheaper mid-range GPU to be a successor of GTX 1060.
