All The Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti Custom Models That You Can Buy, Can Be Overclocked Across The Board Manually

There are plenty of Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti custom models to choose from and you can check them all out here to decide which one you want to go with.

The Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti has just been announced and while it is a better version of the GTX 1070, it has specifications closer to the GT 1080 which makes it a great deal considering it only costs $449.99. While the reference design might not be all that glamorous there is Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti custom models that cost the same as well.

Be sure to check out our pick of the best custom GTX 1070 Ti from Zotac here. You can also check out the unboxing and teardown of an MSI version of the GPU in order to take a closer look at the PCB. The Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti is going to be taking on the AMD Vega 56 that has been beating the GTX 1070 in multiple games.

You can check out the benchmarks of the GTX 1070 vs the AMD Vega 56 in games like AC: Origins, Destiny 2, Warhammer 2 and Forza 7. All these titles are new and we can see the need for the Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti but there are those who think that there is a big gap between the GTX 1060 and the 1070 that could also have been catered to.

Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti Specifications

The Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti features the GP104 GPU, which can also be found in the GTX 1080, another similarity. The graphics card comes with 432 CUDA cores and 152 Texture Mapping Units this means that the GPU will have 128 CUDA cores and 12 TMUs less than the GTX 1080.

The specifications look great but it is important to note that unlike the GTX 1080 that features GDDR5X memory, the Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti will feature slower GDDR5 memory instead. The graphics card has a base clock of 1607 MHz and a boost clock of 1683 MHz

Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti Custom Models Can Be Overclocked

There was a rumor that the Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti would be frequency locked as Nvidia does not want users to be able to overclock their GPUs and get performance similar to the GTX 1080. That would impact GTX 1080 sales. We have confirmation that the Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti custom models can indeed be overclocked but you will have to do this manually.

If this was going to be a deal breaker then you need not worry and like other Pascal graphics cards, you will be able to overclock this one as well. Let us know how well that goes. According to Nvidia:

We designed the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti to be an overclocking monster with plenty of headroom for gamers to crank up the clock speeds. And our partners have built cards with thermals and power supplies that allow gamers to push performance way past stock specifications.

Colorful GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Custom Models

Colorful graphics cards are like Lamborgini models in the car world. They are unusual but very good looking and that is the same case here.  The Colorful models include the iGame Vulcan X TOP, iGame Vulcan Advanced and the iGame Vulcan X.

Colorful GeForce GTX 1070 Ti iGame Vulcan X TOP

The X Top is far from discrete and it is safe to say that it is a conversation starter. There are triple fans for cooling so temps are not going to be an issue here.

Colorful GeForce GTX 1070 Ti iGame Vulcan Advanced

The Advanced also has an over the top look but the finish of the card is more of a metallic one. Both look great though.

Colorful GeForce GTX 1070 Ti iGame Vulcan X

The Vulcan X also features triple fans but you might not be able to note the middle one at first as it is covered up.

PNY GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Custom Models

The Jetstream features dual fans and a Black and Silver design that gives a futuristic vibe.

Palit GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Dual

Gainward also has two cards to offer. These are also subtle and not too fancy. If you are into that kind of thing then check them out below.

Gainward GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Phoenix

The Phoenix has a Black, Skin and Red theme going on, which is different but the overall design of the card is very plain. The clean look is something people will be looking out for.

Gainward GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Dual

The dual is even more understated and has a plain Black theme which  I can appreciate. Nothing too fancy.
