The Number of Steam Games Out There Has Reached 10,000 Mark

Number of Steam Games on Valve's platform is now more than 10,000. Yes, 10k digital games are present on Steam to purchase.

The number of Steam games has officialy reached the 10,000 mark, as Valve has recently hosted the Steam Dev Days, in which they talked about games and devices related to the Steam platform.

During these events, it has been officially said that 10,000 games has been published for multiple platforms during the last 10 years and with the introduction of VR, 600 games based on virtual experience has been made.

These numbers are incredible but that’s only the beginning, since Valve will keep investing resources in order to give the players new experiences and way to have fun with their favorite games.

However, Valve’s rules regarding early access were contained in a document that has been shared all through the web.

This document is based on 3 sections that contains rules, any kind of suggestions and stuff like that, featuring 4 main rules to be followed by the devs. The most important can be found below:

Do not make specific promises about future events. For example, there is no way you can know exactly when the game will be done, if the game will be finished, or that planned future additions will happen for sure. Do not ask your customers to on your game’s future. Customers should be buying your game based on how it is now, not on promises of a future that may not be realized.

So it seems Valve is interested in selling products only and only cares about the present, not caring if a game doesn’t get its release or things like that.

So we suggest you too to buy complete games and not to trust too much unknown developers making strange promises.
