Upcoming Nioh Update Brings New Missions, Challenges And Gameplay Improvements

Nioh is one of the best PlayStation 4 exclusives to launch this year and Koei Tecmo has announced that Nioh will be getting free content.

This free content will include new challenges and mission for the PlayStation exclusive game. The update has already been released in Japan and we believe it will be available for the west soon.

The game will be getting ten new missions that will accessible from different points in the story. Players will be able to challenge two disciples of Kensei and Kamiizumi Nobutsuna, Yagyu Munetoshi and Hozoin In’ei.

Another mission for the game will let players fight against a large boss yokai and his retinue of smaller yokai. Completing these missions will reward players with new titles and smithing texts.

Not only that, the update will also bring several fixes and adjustments to improve the quality of gameplay. Koei Tecmo has also revealed some new screenshots for the upcoming update showcasing the new content.

Recently, Koei Tecmo’s president, Hisashi Koinuma, said that the game has helped them expand their audience. He added that the publisher takes pride in its traditional Japanese characters and historical elements in their IPs and with Nioh they have “worked tirelessly” to bring that same essence to a challenging action RPG.

At Koei Tecmo we have always taken pride in the historical elements and Japanese character of our IP line-up, something that has been evident in previous releases like Ninja Gaiden, Nobunaga’s Ambition, and our Warriors franchise. With Nioh, we have worked tirelessly to bring the essence and the spirit of that trademark direction into a new and challenging action RPG.

Nioh is an action-RPG developed by Team Ninja exclusively for PlayStation 4.
