EA Teases More Of Its Titles For Nintendo Switch

Nintendo Switch’s third-party support might not have been impressive at launch but, as the time has passed things are looking better for the hybrid console with studios like EA, Ubisoft, and Capcom bringing their titles to Nintendo Switch. While EA has announced FIFA 18 for Switch but, the studio has more planned for the console.

EA’s VP for Worldwide Studios, Patrick Soderlund, revealed in the latest issue of Edge Magazine if EA would bring more of its titles to Nintendo Switch or not. While he didn’t outright confirm it but, added that EA will bring its titles to any platform which presents a business opportunity and given the success of Switch, we might be seeing more EA titles on Switch.

We will appear on any platform where there are consumers, and players. We believe that we want to be a part of the Switch, and help Nintendo grow that installed base; that’s why you’ll see FIFA, which by the way is really good this year. It’s a full-fledged FIFA game, for the first time to be honest, on a portable device.

However, while Capcom has announced a few titles for the hybrid console including Monster Hunter XX, Resident Evil Revelations and Revelations 2 but,  Capcom is not bringing its titles to Switch outright as the company has noted that their strategy for Switch depends on Monster Hunter XX.

The Nintendo Switch seems to be doing very well, and we look forward to further growth in its install base. Beginning with Monster Hunter XX (Double Cross) Nintendo Switch Ver. for Japan, we are evaluating how we will support this platform in the future.

Also, Nintendo has been sued by Gamevice who claims Nintendo Switch is using their patents. Gamevice is an accessory manufacturer and the company has filed a lawsuit against Nintendo and claims that the company is using their patents for Nintendo Switch without their permission. The lawsuit calls for Nintendo paying the damages and a ban on Nintendo Switch sales.
