New Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Leak Reveals Map Size And More

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey might have been announced only a week ago, but leakers have already started to “feed” us with rumors and potential information about it. According to a new Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Leak, the game is set during the Flavian dynasty era and among others will feature fights with mythological creatures.

Before we start, it’s true that none of the setting and gameplay information this Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Leak included seem to relate to the country’s history as individual concepts. If the leak is legit though then it would be interesting to see how they manage to fit all those things in a place that it seems believable.

Starting off, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will include once more two characters, a male and a female which are – again – siblings. Its chronological setting is the same with Origins, bringing the game to the Roman Greek era and will take place in several locations including Achaea, Macedonia, Thrace, and Asia. Mentions of Byzantion and the 4 wonders have been made along with an opening sequence of Troy.

We recently did some theorycrafting about the setting of  Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and its setting in Greek history. If the leak is legit then we might be able to experience all those locations we mentioned in some kind of journey through history. This is an interesting concept that we’d love to see in action.

The character customization will be the same with that of Syndicate and skill trees will be available for both of them. In an aspect of gameplay, what we know is that naval gameplay is back, this time with ship customization in a world that is smaller than that of Origins.

Mythological creatures have also been mentioned as enemies in the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey leak, which are awakened by  Templars using apple of Eden from Curse of the Pharaohs.

Two different leak sources gave different opinions as to when Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will release. The first claims that the game will release on winter holidays 2018 while the second (which seems more possible) expects it to release on March 2019. All leak sources suggest that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will be showcased at E3 2018 so we shall wait and see if what we mentioned above is actually true.
