NetherRealm Studios Reveals Injustice 2 Fighter Pack 2, Includes Raiden From Mortal Kombat

NetherRealm Studios has finally announced the next wave of DLC in the form of Injustice 2 Fighter Pack 2 which includes Hellboy

As was originally expected, NetherRealm Studios did indeed reveal Injustice 2 Fighter Pack 2 during Gamescom, giving us our first look at 3 new and upcoming characters to the popular fighting game set in the DC universe.

As has always been the case with NetherRealm Studios, the character DLC brings characters from other franchises into their games and Injustice 2 Fighter Pack 2 is no exception. The three new characters included in this bundle are Black Manta from DC, Raiden from Mortal Kombat games and Hellboy, the half demon with the super strong arm.

There is currently no word on when the Injustice 2 Fighter Pack 2 will be available for sale but considering the announcement was made during Gamescom and Ed Boon teased a while back that three new characters are coming to the game soon, it might not be long before fans can get their hands on this DLC.

The final character of first Fighter Pack for the game, Starfire, was released back in July, rounding up the first wave of paid DLC for the game which included Starfire, Red Hood and Sub-Zero. While Mortal Kombat is the premiere fighting game franchise from NetherRealm, the inclusion of these characters in Injustice 2 does feel a bit off considering the M rated tone of Mortal Kombat games.

Apart from paid DLCs, NetherRealm Studios also continues to release free content and updates for the game. One recent example of that is the Bizzaro premier skin for Superman which can be purchased using Source Crystal, the money used for unlockables in the game.

Injustice 2 is currently available to play on Xbox One and PS4. A PC version hasn’t been announced yet but is most likely in development and will release later like the original Injustice game where the PC port was released more than a year later as a complete package including all DLCs.
