No Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution for PS4 and Xbox One

There is yet another Naruto game inbound from Namco Bandai Games, with the announcement of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution (NUNSR). It will release somewhere in 2014.

This brand of games has become a yearly release for the company, along other side projects in the anime franchise. In these games, Naruto and other characters go head to head in a fighting title, set across a number of arenas.

Art consists of heavy cel-shading, with added lighting effects and simple cartoony flurries to accompany moves. Characters receive a short list of possible moves, which form a simplistic combat style that uses just one or two buttons.

It gets assisted through a variety of items, as well as auxiliary means, like calling for assistance; all of which is prompted with short cinematic moments for extra effect.

In NUNSR, you’ll be able to perform Combination Ultimate Jutsu now, which seems to take a page from the ever-growing list of extravagance Street Fighter puts in its iterations. More importantly, Namco Bandai has announced that this game will feature a character designed for the game, made by author Masashi Kishimoto.

In total, the game will have a cool 100 playable fighters in its roster, which is the biggest lineup yet.

In other news, the game will release only for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, thus skipping out on the newly released PS4 and Xbox One. There’s also no PC version, despite the previous game, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst, coming out on the platform.
