The MSI RTX 2070 Gaming X is a 2-slot card which might be what some people are looking to get keeping in mind that the previous cards that have released are thicker. The RTX series cards come with some seriously beefy coolers. Nvidia did claim that these cards will offer plenty of overclocking headroom, so that does make sense.

Nvidia’s Tom Petersen talked about the performance of the RTX 2070 and the following is what he had to say in this regard:

So I would say with 6 Giga Rays you can definitely imagine you’re not going to be able to ray trace the same way you do with a 2080 Ti, but kind of like level-of-detail, or like Ultra, Min, Max settings, you’re going to cast fewer rays. It’ll be a little less sharp in the reflection, a little less clear in the ambient occlusion, but it’s still going to look pretty good.

We have already seen the different models from Asus that will be available at launch. It will be interesting to see what kind of performance the RTX 2070 will have to offer and how much better the MSI RTX 2070 Gaming X is going to be as compared to the reference design model.

Let us know what you think about the MSI RTX 2070 Gaming X and whether or not this is something that you are interested in getting.
