Mortal Kombat 11 FPS Issue Will Be Fixed Officially, You Won’t Require FPS Mod

If you’re playing Mortal Kombat 11 on the PC particularly, you’ll notice that the game suffers from a few framerate issues. This Mortal Kombat 11 FPS problem has been noticed by NetherRealm Studios who now promise to fix it.

This information was shared with us via a Mortal Kombat 11 Reddit post which was about the fixes brought by a new patch. The end of the post reads:

“Additionally, on the topic of having the certain parts of the game run with a framerate cap of 30 FPS, we hear you. We’re currently working on providing the option to increase the caps in those areas to 60 FPS. We’ll have more details soon, stay tuned”

I’ve faced this MK 11 FPS issue myself as well. The game itself runs fine at 60 FPS during actual gameplay. However, during cinematic actions like Fatal blows or Fatalities, the quality takes a dip down to 30 FPS. This issue also persists in the Mortal Kombat 11 Krypt.

A lot of players have modded their game to unlock and uncap the FPS. Those who aren’t fond of modding can wait, since the Mortal Kombat 11 FPS will be increased officially by NetherRealm Studios. If you’re not a fan of FPS mods, maybe this one should excite you.

Getting back on track, the Mortal Kombat 11 FPS issue mainly disrupted the game during its online matchmaking. During the benchmarking process, your raw gameplay is identified as 60 FPS constantly. During the crucial cinematic moments that I mentioned before, the dip in framerate tends to cause disconnection during online match-ups.

It’s not a rig problem either, which is evidenced by the amount of complaints NetherRealm Studios have gotten from players with high-end PCs as well. How will we get those Mortal Kombat 11 Krypt key items when we can’t see where we’re going?

On the non-technical side of things, fans continue to speculate Ash Williams being a part of the Mortal Kombat 11 DLC line-up. Despite Bruce Campbell debunking the theory.
