Modern Warfare 2 Remastered Teased by Ex-Infinity Ward Developer

Recent Tweets by a former Infinity Ward developer Robert Bowling hint us that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 remaster is the next Call of Duty game.

Robert Bowling, a former developer at Infinity Ward is apparently teasing about Modern Warfare 2 remaster through his recent Tweets.

There have been several rumors in the past about a remaster of Modern Warfare 2 but none of them seemed to be true. However, many fans of Call of Duty series now believe that the next Call of Duty game is a remaster of Modern Warfare 2, especially after multiple hints by Bowling, who worked as a Creative Strategist at Infinity Ward.

In the past few weeks, Bowling has been tweeting videos and images related to Modern Warfare series and COD: Modern Warfare 2, making everyone believe that Modern Warfare 2 remastered is close to release.

The first tweet he posted included a video of Operation Kingfish members standing in front of a wall, on which there’s a text that reads, “Operation Kingfish 10/8/13” with the song “Hurt” by Johnny Cash playing on top. The video then zooms in the face of Ghost. In addition to this, Bowling captioned this Tweet with “I will let you down I will make you hurt //10.8.19//.” The mentioned date “10.8.19” could possibly be the release date of MW2 Remaster.

Bowling then posted another edited footage which shows us the cinematic, in which Ghost is being killed while Captain Price “History is Written by the Victor” plays on top with a red filter.

Another picture shows Bowling standing in the studio, apparently, the production room for the next Call of Duty game. The final picture shows Bowling standing in front of a statue of character Ghost from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

This does sound appealing but we advise everyone to take this information with a pinch of salt since Bowling doesn’t work with Infinity Ward anymore. It’s possible that Bowling is just trolling the fans. Nevertheless, MW2 remaster is possible since Activision and IW have yet to announce the title of Call of Duty 2019.

It’s also possible that Infinity Ward is planning to release MW2 remastered bundled with Modern Warfare 4 or Call of Duty 2019, like Infinity Warfare which came bundled with Modern Warfare remastered.

If the rumors are to be believed, we can expect Activision to announce Call of Duty 2019 sometime around or during E3 2019. Whatever the game’s title is, it will release for Sony’s PlayStation 4, Microsoft’s Xbox One and PC like the previous entries in Call of Duty franchise.
