Microsoft Once Clarifies That Xbox One X is Not For Everyone, Go With Xbox One S

Xbox One X is not for everyone and Xbox One S is going to remain the market leader for Microsoft. Microsoft is once again making it clear that Xbox One X is targeted for hardcore Xbox fans who need a premium experience. On a number of occasions, Microsoft asked fans to stick to Xbox One S if they do not own a 4K TV.

With that said, FULL HD TV owners can also benefit from better frame rates and resolution but that isn’t worth the $500 price tag, which explains why Microsoft wants to make it clear that Xbox One X is for those who want the absolute best version of a game at 4K. During Brazil Game Show Phil Spencer stated that it will be Xbox One S that sells and is going to be the market leader for them.

But he added:

Whether you’re on a 1080p TV or a 4K TV, you’re going to have a great experience. But it’s not for everybody. It’s like when we built the Xbox One Elite controller, we didn’t try to say to everybody, ‘If you need an extra controller, go buy the Elite controller.’ We sold a ton of those controllers. We know in the gaming segment, there are a lot of people who play games casually and there’s also people where gaming is their number one hobby.

Xbox One X is like a “premium PC experience” which is not really suited for everyone. You need a 4K screen to justify buying a Xbox One.

Xbox One X is releasing on November, pre-orders are now live across all regions.
