Fulton Carefully and Sell Useless Items
While in the field, you can fulton most of the items including soldiers to Mother Base. However, it’s not required to store everything. Remember that from raw material to medical equipment, you can sell everything you don’t need.

This is the first thing you need to be looking at while you are looking to buy some extra GMP currency.

Complete Side-Missions
There are a ton of activities to do in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, one of which is side-ops missions. These missions are comparatively shorter than main missions and will reward you with GMP currency and other goodies.

Once again, you can sell of useless goodies to earn some more GMP.

Complete Dispatch Missions
Once you have upgraded the Combat Unit Platform, you will be able to send out your staff on Dispatch Missions in order to recruit new staff members and earn some extra GMP currency on the side.
