(Update) Mass Effect Andromeda’s Poor Reception May Have Caused Even More Damage, DLC Possibly Cancelled

Update: BioWare denied their involvement with Sinclair but sources tell Kotaku that there are no longer plans for any single-player DLC.

Original Story: Mass Effect Andromeda has been under fire ever since its release and if you were wondering whether or not developers would bother with story DLC, we may have some bad news. According to a new rumor, Mass Effect Andromeda story DLC might not see the light of day.

Sinclair Networks, the company which provides network solutions for a range of different developers, took to facebook and posted about the cancellation of Andromeda story DLC. However, going through their recent posts we didn’t find anything of sort which indicates that either they have removed the post or it was a fake.

Redditors shared a screenshot of the post which does give some weight to the story but until we have official confirmation from the developer itself, we can not trust this source alone.

But it wouldn’t be surprising to see Andromeda story DLC going down the drain. Mass Effect Andromeda animations as well as the main story have been an issue for BioWare. Although updates have been released to fix the problems and Andromeda is in a much better shape, the damage is done.

Mass Effect Andromeda is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Publisher hosts discount events every now and then so it is best to wait until the price is right if you are planning to grab a copy.

Do you think Mass Effect Andromeda’s issues and reception can cause developers to end support for such a big franchise? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
