Marvel’s Avengers Explains How Ms. Marvel’s Character Was Designed

Ms. Marvel is one of the latest great additions to Marvel’s Avengers. The announcement that caught fans by surprise added its sixth playable superhero for the title of Crystal Dynamics. They have now explained how Ms. Marvel’s character was designed.

We really wanted to do justice to the original Ms. Marvel designs and worked closely with the Marvel Games team and Ms. Marvel co-creator Sana Amanat, who explained the thinking behind the different looks Kamala has and the focus on the key elements of her outfit.

To that they add that they also wanted Kamala to have an origin from a powerful arc, as a representation of the player’s journey. Tore Blystad, creative director of Crystal Dynamics added that the perspective of the player in Marvel’s Avengers is aligned with that of Kamala.

We took the core inspiration from the iconic Ms. Marvel costume from the comic, especially the Ms. Marvel #2 cover. But since our Kamala has to stand side-by-side with the other Avengers, she gets some help from Tony Stark who designs and makes her outfit.

Not surprisingly, given its link with this cast of Avengers, formed by Black Widow, Captain America, Thor, Hulk and Iron Man, we will also see costumes based on the technology that Tony Stark can supply, although they have not detailed how.

They detail, of course, that the bracelet and other relics come from the cultural heritage of his family and act as talismans for her.

The bracelet is the only element that is shared across all of Ms. Marvel’s outfits. It is a family heirloom that she got from her grandmother, and she uses it to keep her most precious possessions safe when on the job.

Kamala Khan is one of the most recent superheroines of the Marvel universe. Her first appearance dates back to Captain Marvel # 14 in August 2013, when Sana Amanat and Stephen Wacker gave the green light to the edition of the factory’s first Muslim character.

One of the main attractions of Marvel’s Avengers will be, according to Crystal Dynamics, its campaign.

This single player adventure, which will complement the expansive multiplayer mode they are designing for the long term in Marvel’s Avengers, will last between 10 and 12 hours, says one of the senior directors of the studio, Rich Briggs.

Briggs thinks the average Campaign Length will depend exactly on how much you deepen and how far you want to go. He adds that if you think of previous Crystal games, you know that if you want to get to the point in the main story, it will be around those parameters of 10 or 12 hours.

But it all depends on our degree of involvement. Briggs also said that if you want to see everything, all side missions and everything else, you could generally wait about 30 hours at the Tomb Raider games.

GameSpot had the opportunity to sit down and chat with Scot Amos, studio head of Crystal Dynamics. This was a talk that has led to reaffirm the company’s commitment in Marvel’s Avengers.

He explained that they don’t want people to feel bored or run out of things. According to Scot, they have learned from other rivals within the genre about what works and what doesn’t work and the speed at which the most enthusiastic can consume all the content.

Scot recognizes that currently that question regarding how they can keep players hooked in an intelligent way that rewards them for their time in Marvel’s Avengers, is the most important within the team. He concludes and says that if you want to play more, they want to give you more content to complete.

I remind you that Marvel’s Avengers will go on sale on May 15, 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia.
