L.A Noire is less than two weeks away from launching for PC, current-gen consoles, and Nintendo Switch and now Rockstar has revealed how much space the game will take on the hybrid console and also revealed that size for the L.A Noire Day-One-Patch on Switch.
According to Rockstar, L.A Noire day-one-patch will be 14 GB in size and players will not be able to play the game until they have downloaded the patch. The day-one-patch for the game will include gameplay data and bug fixes for the game.
As for the digital version, the game requires 29 GB of space on the hybrid console which means you won’t be able to play the game on the console’s onboard storage and will require a separate MicroSD card.
If using the physical cartridge version of LA Noire, the game will require a 14GB digital download containing required gameplay data as well as general bug fixes and improvements. This file can be downloaded to either the Nintendo Switch console’s internal storage or a microSD card (sold separately).
The Nintendo eShop digital version of LA Noire, including all bug fixes and improvements, requires 29GB of available storage. Because this exceeds the available internal storage on the console, the eShop version of the game must be installed to a microSD card (sold separately) that is inserted prior beginning the download.
Also, 2K has confirmed that L.A Noire will run at 1080p while docked and 720p in handheld mode. The game running at 1080p on Switch is quite impressive, however, the frame rate for both Switch modes are yet to be revealed.
L.A Noire is a detective action-adventure game and is scheduled to launch on November 14, 2017, for Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
