Konami may have recently announced its new focus on making mobile games, but the company seemingly still has some waning interest in consoles.
According to a recent rating by the German classification board USK, Konami is bringing Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Other than the title and intended platforms, the listing carries no other piece of information.
Konami fans, though, may look at the news with hope. The company may not have completely abandoned console gaming, even though it has been treading a shaky path for the past couple of months.
Many found it necessary to question Konami’s future since its decision to cancel Silent Hills, and its involvement with the controversy surrounding Hideo Kojima’s departure. Many thought that PES 2016 would eventually be cancelled as well, but that title still has the green light.
Konami’s future plans are still in the dark, but there’s hope yet. The recently formed team that’s allegedly taking a crack at a ‘new’ Silent Hill game, better be making this the best installment in the franchise ever. Anything lesser would have the fans raising their pitchforks again.
