Koei Tecmo’s E3 2016 Conference Will Be Full of Action

Koei Tecmo’s E3 space is going to have a lot of people looking forward to E3 even more than usual, according to an announcement that the company made today.

In the announcement, Koei Tecmo revealed that they would be at the Electronic Gaming Expo next month with at least two of its upcoming games.

The first is a game that a lot of people may be familiar with already: the Dark Souls-inspired samurai action-RPG “Nioh”, which had an Alpha demo released several weeks ago and which became highly popular despite its difficulty. Some even speculated that the game might be even harder than Dark Souls.

The other game is Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom, which is based on the highly popular anime “Shingeki No Kyojin”, translated into “Attack on Titan.” In it, players make use of gas-powered cables and propulsion systems to attack giants known as Titans, all the while trying to avoid being eaten.

While it was released in February this year in Japan, Koei Tecmo has announced that it will also be releasing for Western audiences this August. It was originally released for the Playstation 3, Playstation 4, and Playstation Vita, but when it comes out in the West will also be getting a port to the Xbox One and PC.

Koei Tecmo’s E3 area will have playable demos for both games available, along with personnel both from Koei Tecmo Games and Team NINJA, who are developing Nioh. But, in addition to Attack on Titan and Nioh, Koei Tecmo will also be announcing a new game that’s currently in development by Omega Force, though we’ll just have to wait to see what it is.

All in all Koei Tecmo’s E3 event seems to have a lot of promise in it. When E3 begins on June 14, Koei Tecmo’s area will be located in the South Hall, upstairs in Room 304B.
