Blizzard has officially announced that the new expansion pack, Kobolds and Catacombs, will release for Hearthstone in just over a week.

The card-collecting community should prepare themselves to venture through the unexplored underground realm that stretches for miles and houses all sorts of terrifying creatures. The dangers are many but it will be worth surviving those deadly traps because of the shiny treasure vaults being guarded inside.

When Kobolds and Catacombs releases for Hearthstone, players can log in afterwards to receive three card packs and a random Legendary Weapon card from the expansion pack for free. Three additional card packs can be earned as well by completing three sequential one-time Dungeon Run quests. Just make sure to unlock daily quests by completing “The Duelist” quest and that there is room in the quest log.

Kobolds and Catacombs is available for pre-order from the Blizzard Store. Those who do secure an early purchase will receive a total of fifty card packs for $50. There is also the “For the Hoard” card back in the mix, which becomes available as soon as the purchase takes place. The card packs, however, will only unlock on Dec. 7.

Kobolds and Catacombs was announced at BlizzCon 2017 earlier this month. It will feature a new single-player mode called “Dungeon Run” that pits players against eight random bosses out of nearly fifty possible encounters. Defeat them, collect loot, reinforce your decks, and continue fighting as long as possible.
