Is Knights Of The Old Republic Getting a Sequel/Remake?

Jordan Maison claims that two different sources have given him information about a sequel to Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic might get a sequel. Jordan Maison from Cinelinx has claimed to have information from two different sources regarding a potential sequel/remake. If true, that will definitely be a good news for Star Wars fans.

The first source says that the series is going through a process of re-imagination. This might mean, that the game will bring many new things to a potential sequel or a remake. If the development team is thinking out of the box, then there would be a lot of new stuff to experience in the next game.

Jordan’s second source states that it will re-integrate elements from the previous two games to bring certain things into the current Star Wars canon. This could define that gamers would experience a similar setting to the older Knights of the Old Republic games.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was developed by BioWare. Currently, the studio is working on three titles; Anthem, Dragon Age 4, and a new Mass Effect game. It appears as there is a good amount of burden upon the studio. This makes us doubt if the Knights of the Old Republic is getting sufficient attention for the time being.

Electronic Arts has previously developed Battlefront 2 and Jedi Fallen Order in the Star Wars segment. From the sales point of view, both of the games have achieved much success. Star Wars has a huge fan base and much more potential for growth in the gaming industry. It would naturally be good for Electronic Arts to make more Star Wars games, especially Knights of the Old Republic.

I personally think that it will be a new game instead of just a remake. Knights of the Old Republic has a lot of fan following and if they actually bring a new game that is true to its roots, EA will definitely have a lot of fans’ approval in a positive way.
