How To Level Up Skills
In the first couple of hours of the game, you might find these skills useless as they won’t increase your health, mana or the damage your weapons inflict, but you will realize their importance as you progress through the game.
Alchemy for instance can get you potions and gems that can be really useful for you in tougher battles. Being a fighter or a brawler, Blacksmithing can be crucial to salvage equipment to craft weapons/armor and repair the damaged equipment.
Detect Hidden is probably the most useful investment for your skill points. You can find the hidden loot and at higher level, you can even see enemies in advance, which should help you avoid unnecessary risks.
You can level up Mercantile if you are into trade. The items you collect throughout Amalur can be sold at a good price if you have leveled up Mercantile.
Last but not the least, don’t forget the trainers, they can increase your skill level instantly if you have sufficient gold in your bag.
