Jude Law Joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Ready to Star in Captain Marvel

The Marvel Cinematic Universe never fails to amaze us. Films like Avengers, Thor, Captain America, and others have blown us away and have been blockbuster hits at the box office. Currently, Marvel is working on another marvel for the cinematic universe.

Captain Marvel is in development and is going through its early production casting phase. Brie Larson, the star of Kong Skull Island, is playing Captain Marvel; and according to a new report from Variety, Captain Marvel has found her mentor in Jude Law who’ll be playing Doctor Walter Lawson.

Sources tell Variety that Jude Law is currently negotiating for his role in the film. However, no official confirmations have been made for the time being.

Details about the film are very limited but it has been confirmed that the movie is set in the 90’s, way before the Avengers assembled to fight alien invasions. There are reports that Samual L. Jackson will reprise his role as Nick Fury in the upcoming film.

Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, the directors of the film, are eyeing Ben Mendelsohn as the lead antagonist for Captain Marvel. Creators of the film have so far released no comment on the casting.

Captain Marvel is in very early production so don’t expect it to release anytime soon. For now, fans should get excited for Black Panther which is only a few months away and may finally reveal the location of the Soul Stone.

Avengers Infinity War is next in line and is expected sometime next year. For more on Captain Marvel, stay-tuned to SegmentNext.
