It Seems That Control Will Receive Downloadable Content

Control, the most recent Remedy Entertainment project, debuted just a few days ago. However, it seems that the studio is already thinking about expanding the magnificent adventure. What we mean is that there were recently discovered clues that seem to show that it will have downloadable content in the future.

As PC Gamer reports, the YouTuber Manfightdragon set about exploring the Control debugging menu – a tool used by developers to find errors – and initially focused on exploiting it to see visual effects and move the camera in search of secrets.

Then, in a menu to jump from level to level he found a mission entitled as follows:

You don’t need to be a genius to see that the DLC words at the end of this mission are the reason why many think it is a matter of time before the downloadable content for Control is announced.

Another important clue is that the mission features the Marshall surname, which corresponds to one of the most important Control characters. So, it could be that this supposed downloadable content is purely focused on this character alone.

That said, it is also important to note that, so far, Remedy Entertainment has not talked about upcoming DLCs for Control. This is why we recommend that you take this information with a grain of salt since, after all, it could well be an error or waste of canceled plans. We will stay pending and inform you when we know more about it.

Control is the new action game in the third person of Remedy Entertainment. Remedy Entertainment is responsible for titles such as Max Payne, Alan Wake and Quantum Break. This game was also developed thanks to the support of 505 Games.

In Control we embody Jesse Faden, the new director of the Federal Bureau of Control, a secret agency of the United States that is responsible for investigating and developing new paranormal techniques.

The office, located in a secret building in New York City, experiences a security breach that allows a threat from another dimension to invade its facilities and eliminate or possess all its employees.

As head of the division, our mission is to set foot on the premises and prevent that evil from another world from escaping and unleashing chaos on Earth.

This is a script written by Sam Lake, one of Remedy’s well-known faces and author of Max Payne and Alan Wake and directed by Mikael Kasurinen. This duo is one of the most creative and solid in the world of video games.

Control is developed based on the Northlight engine, the engine that is owned by the studio, something that is noticeable from the start. We talk about a very technically lustrous game in the style of Quantum Break, with great play of lights and an oppressive atmosphere.

Remedy’s idea is that the scenario tells its own story, being very environmental and fluid, emphasizing the supernatural transformation of the levels and scenarios in which the story takes place.

Control is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. You can learn more about what the new Remedy Entertainment project offers if you read our review.
