How To Play Flappy Bird: Cheats, Tips and Tricks to Get High Score

Flappy Bird is annoying but an addictive as hell game! It has rocketed ahead of its competitors in mobile gaming like Candy Crush Saga, Temple Run, and Angry Birds franchise.

The reason I called it annoying is because it was made by the satan himself or so it seems. I mean, even getting a score of 5 or 10 seems is a daunting task.

However, it matters not; for I have finally overcome my weaknesses and miserable failing at this game. And in this guide, I will be sharing various tips and tricks, which will surely help you in achieving a higher score, at least more than your current one.

Watching a few YouTube gameplay videos will make an unfamiliar player think of it as a boring game which is quite right. Literally, besides a steep learning curve and insanely difficulty setting, there is nothing interesting.

The gameplay mechanics are really simple! Tapping on your screen will flap the bird into the air, and your task is to avoid Mario-style pipes suspended in the air. Do give it a try to share your impressions with us!

Let go of your Rage
Let’s face it!

Flappy Bird is a difficult game which is full of bugs. You will often find yourself dying when you have not even touched a pipe. Do not let this make you rage. Learn to relax and keep on going.

Take some Breaks
I know it is really hard to let go of your mobile device once you have started playing the game. However, you need to let go of your determination, which forces you NOT to put down your mobile device even after you have died for like 10 times in a row.

Start Playing on a Bigger Device
Mobile phones having small screens are not recommended. There are good chances that your thumb will accidentally touch a wrong area resulting in your death.

Try playing the game on an iPad or any Android-based tablet, and you will feel the difference.

Have Some Solo Time
When you aim at going for a high score, nothing should come between you and your game. And by this I mean, text messages, phone calls, sounds, light, and ANYTHING that can distract you. Lock yourself in a room with nothing but Flappy Bird.

Treat it gently!
The game can be annoying at times, which will make you hammer over the screen. Control yourself! Be gentle and swift at the same time and you will go far.

Try to Rhyme
Rising up during the passes is better than dipping down. In this way, you will be able to gain control in a best way and eventually succeed.

Other than this, using short and measured taps have proven to be helpful. In an ideal situation, you should not use more than one or two taps to clear a pipe.

Stay in the Center
This is really very important!

Try to stay at the very middle of the two pipes and stay there. Not doing this will lead you straight into a pipe’s corner. Your taps should be measured in such a way to keep in the middle.

Motivate Yourself!
Brag about ye high score on Facebook and Twitter and compete with your friends. Have some determination and try to beat them.

Remember! Quitters never win; and winners never quit! Do not give up on things too easily. If someone can do it, why can’t you?

Experiencing Constant Crashes?
Imagine yourself at 99 score and then suddenly your game gets crashed, and your hard-earned high score is gone like a puff of smoke!

Like I have mentioned before, the game is too buggy to even play. Make sure to kill all running applications and maybe turn to airplane mode prior to starting the game.

Cheat it away!
Ever wondered why the world leader boards show a billion as a high score when you can’t even get past 10? Well, that’s entirely the courtesy of cheats. If nothing else seems to work for you, this is your final and best bet.

Follow the procedure below to know how to get a working cheat for the game:

Software Required: Fresh copy of Flappy Bird and ES File Explorer

Install the fresh copy and make a high score of at least 1. Open your ES File Explorer and enable ‘Root Explorer’ from the Tools.

Head to /device – /data – /data and find Flappy Bird.

Next go to shared_prefs and then open FlappyBird.xml. Select ES Note Editor and edit your score to whatever you want.
