How to Get Golden Scythe in Stardew Valley

The Stardew Valley update 1.4 brings new additions to the game, one of which is a new type of Scythe. Players may acquire this new Golden Scythe after completing a task. This guide will show you How to Get Golden Scythe in Stardew Valley in the new game update.

How to Get Golden Scythe in Stardew Valley

As compared to the normal Scythe, players can harvest way more hay if they possess the Golden Scythe and that too by one hit instead of two for a patch of grass, this allows one to collect hay very easily and more efficiently.

The Golden Scythe proves as an advantageous tool for those people who rely heavily on animal products in the game.

First, you will have to unlock the Quarry to have access to the Golden Scythe’s location. In order to do this, complete the crafts room bundles in the community center and sleep on that day to have the bridge repaired.

Get the Gear
Before you head to the Golden Scythe’s location, I advise that you take an adequate amount of health items so that you may easily get to the end of the cave in which the Golden Scythe is located.

You will also need a good sword, which you can obtain from the Mines or Marlon who’s in the Adventurer’s Guild.

Marlon gives you a few initiation quests after you enter the Mines, you will need to complete these to have access to the Guild. You can get the gear once you talk to Marlon in the Guild’s building.

Golden Scythe Location
The Golden Scythe is located in a dungeon that is found in a cave in the Quarry. The cave will be located at the end of the bridge.

After you get to the cave, head down the ladder that you see over here, and you will reach the dungeon.

Once you’re in the dungeon, you will encounter the Slime and the Skull. You will be familiar with the Slime but wait for the Skull to engage before you strike them with your sword.

Go to the end of the cavern and you will see a statue of a Grim Reaper with the Golden Scythe in its hand, interact with the statue to obtain your Golden Scythe.
