How to Start The Horizon Zero Dawn Frozen Wilds DLC
However, before we start, keep in mind that in order to access The Frozen Wilds DLC, you must complete the game. Another thing that you should note before starting The Frozen Wilds is to be at least Level 30.
You basically have to complete the game up to the end of The Womb of the Mountain, which will allow you to exit Mother’s Embrace, the Nora homeland.
From the Daytower
While trying to enter the Carja Lands, you should pass through the Daytower. Once you are there, you need to find an NPC named Ohthur. Speak to the NPC in order to receive a quest titled ‘Into the Frozen Wilds’. This quest should take you to the Cut, located on the northeastern edge of the map above the Grave Hoard.
By Speaking to Rhavid
Head north from Meridian and you’ll come across an NPC named ‘Rhavid’. Speak to him and he’ll tell you about the Banuk. This information will lead you to Ohthur at the Daytower (As mentioned previously), who you can talk with to start the quest.
By Speaking to Yariki
Alternatively, you can simply head up to the Grave Hoard – near the north side of the Longroam – directly and follow the blue lights until you come across an NPC named Yariki.
Speaking to Yariki should also provide you with a quest named ‘Into the Frozen Wilds’. After receiving the quest, you need to follow the quest marker to The Cut and continue the storyline.
One important thing that you need to know about starting the DLC is that you do not need to speak to both Yariki and Ohthur. You can simply speak to one of them and it will lead you to the same place at the end.
