Hitman First Level “The Playground” Goes Free For PC And Consoles

IO Interactive has gone independent and also retains the rights to the Hitman franchise. Just recently the studio announced that it is ditching the episodic structure for its game and now the studio has made the first level of the latest Hitman free for all three platforms.

The first level of the game, The Playground, is now free for PC, Xbox One and PlayStaiton 4. Also, this is not a limited time offer, gamers will be able to play the first level for free on PC via Steam and on consoles through their respective online stores.

The first level for the game will include 2 story missions including all cutscenes, 2 escalation contracts, and over 40 challenges. Players will be able to unlock 17 achievements and players will also have access to ICA Facility location. Also, players’ progress will be carried over to the full game.

Those who are fearing that Season 2 for the game will not come, well, IO Interactive has confirmed the existence of Hitman Season 2. According to the devs, season 2 for the game will feature new locations and more. According to Hakan Abrak, Studio production director at IO Interactive, Hitman Season 2 will be arriving with new locations and cities along with more free content like Elusive Targets and Escalation Missions.

Hitman is a third-person stealth action game developed By IO Interactive for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
