Halo Infinite 4K Resolution Is A Target When Game Comes To Xbox One X

Halo Infinite 4K resolution is apparently the target for the Xbox One X version of the game according to Phil Spencer, head of Xbox.

One of the bigger yet small announcements at E3 2018 was the announcement of a game known as Halo Infinite, a new Halo game that so far doesn’t appear to be connected to the main series. However, Halo Infinite 4K resolution is a target for Microsoft on the Xbox One X.

Halo Infinite only got a teaser trailer at E3 2018, showing us UNSC troops running around on a Halo ring. However, aside from that we got absolutely no information about it, so it could either be a new Halo spinoff game featuring another Spartan, or the completion of the Halo trilogy that 343 began after Bungie left Halo to start working on Destiny.

Phil Spencer has said that the Halo Infinite 4K resolution target is attainable with the engine that the game is using, and when combined with the Xbox One X and its power, it’s likely to be the best-looking game in the Halo franchise. Hopefully, with all of the power that’s going to be in this new game, the environments on this Halo ring that the game will be taking place on will look better than ever before.

With this console generation apparently winding down in the next few years, a substantial rumor was that Halo Infinite would be releasing on next-gen consoles, and the same sorts of rumors going around about CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077, which also got revealed at the Microsoft conference at E3. However, Microsoft saying that Halo Infinite 4K resolution is their target for the Xbox One X has apparently put paid to that rumor.

We likely won’t know more about Halo Infinite for a pretty long time, but hopefully Microsoft and 343 will be able to tell us more at some point in the future, whether at the next E3 or at another event happening this year.
