Halo 5: Guardians Armor Mods, Power Ups and Boosts
Our guide details Armor Mods, Power-Ups, and Boosts that can be activated and used in Halo 5 multiplayer. You will find the description and how to use each one of these in the sections provided below.

Armor Mods
These mods give you a slight advantage over your opponents and are activated using Req System in the game. However, do note that you must meet the req level requirement prior to activating them:
- Advanced Sensors – Motion Tracker becomes available with Smart-Link
- Auto-Medic – Increased HP recovery and shield recharge rate
- Frag Grenade Expert – An extra frag
- Increased Strength – Increased melee damage
- Plasma Grenade Expert – An extra Plasma Grenade
- Reflex Enhancers – Decreased cooldown on thruster evade
- Speed Booster – Increased movement speed and jump
- Splinter Grenade Expert – An extra Splinter Grenade
- Upgraded Shields – Increased shield
- Upgraded Thrusters – Decreased cooldown on thruster evade
Power-Ups
These also grant you player with a tactical advantage in the game. In Arena Mode, they are activated from fixed spawn location, but in Warzone Mode, they must be activated using req cards system:
- Active Camo I – Camo provides optical masking and increased movement speed which is cancelled from offensive actions
- Active Camo II – Camo provides optical masking and increased movement speed which is cancelled from offensive actions
- Active Camo II – Camo provides optical masking and increased movement speed which is cancelled from offensive actions
- Damage Boost I – Increased damge dealt by player for a short duration of time
- Damage Boost II – Increased damge dealt by player for a short duration of time
- Damage Boost III – Increased damge dealt by player for a short duration of time
- Overshield I – Grants players with an extra layer of overshield which does not regenerate
- Overshield II – Grants players with an extra layer of overshield which does not regenerate
- Overshield III – Grants players with an extra layer of overshield which does not regenerate
- Speed Boost I – Increases movement, reloading, assassination, and weapon switch speed
- Speed Boost II – Increases movement, reloading, assassination, and weapon switch speed
- Speed Boost III – Increases movement, reloading, assassination, and weapon switch speed
Boosts
Boosts can be activated before starting an Arena or a Warzone match, but have some requirements which must be met in order to activate a boost.
Arena Mode Boosts
- Arena RP Boost – Complete an Arena Match to acquire the RP reward
- Arena RP Boost – Complete an Arena Match to acquire the RP reward
- Arena RP Boost – Complete an Arena Match to acquire the RP reward
- Arena RP Boost – Complete an Arena Match to acquire the RP reward
- Arena XP Boost – Complete an Arena Match to acquire the XP reward
- Arena XP Boost – Complete an Arena Match to acquire the XP reward
- Arena XP Boost – Complete an Arena Match to acquire the XP reward
- Arena XP Jackpot – Finish an Arena game and claim a randomized XP reward
- Gambit: Assist – Rank in the top 50 percent for Assists and claim your XP reward. Finish closer to the top for additional XP
- Gambit: Medal Count – You need to rank in the top 50 percent for Medal Count and acquire an XP reward
- Gambit: Spartan Kills – You need to rank in the top 50 percent for Spartan Kills and acquire an XP reward
- Mission: Victory – Win an Arena game and claim your XP reward
- Mission: Victory – Win an Arena game and claim your RP reward
- RP Jackpot – Finish an Arena game to acquire a randomized RP reward
Warzone Mode Boosts
- Gambit: AI Kills – You need to rank in the top 50 percent for AI Kills in order to acquire an XP reward
- Gambit: Assist – You need to rank in the top 50 percent for Assists in order to acquire an XP reward
- Gambit: Medal Count – You need to rank in the top 50 percent for Medal Count in order to acquire an XP reward
- Gambit: Spartan Kills – You need to rank in the top 50 percent for Spartan Kills in order to acquire an XP reward
- Mission: Boss Kill – You need to kill a Warzone boss and complete the game
- Mission: Boss Kill – You need to kill a Warzone boss and complete the game
- Mission: Victory – You need to win a Warzone game to acquire the RP reward

- Warzone RP Boost – You need to complete a Warzone game to acquire the RP reward
