Tips and strategies to play War Games in Solace map of Halo 4. Find out the location of power weapons to improve your effectiveness in combat

While so far every large-scaled map in Halo 4 has featured vehicles, Solace being medium-sized does not. Nevertheless, we still have a Halo 4 Solace Map strategy guide to aid you with other secrets of the map.

Halo 4 Solace Map Strategy

Orbiting the sun that is currently recovering from a stellar collapse we have the setting of Solace on a Forerunner installation that is unidentified. It is not that large but it is symmetrical focused on competition.

If you look at it architecturally we can see it is a bit similar to Narrows i.e. it has two bases that oppose each other along with raised archway in the middle. It also includes side passages along with a lower section.

The map has a lot of natural areas flowing with vegetation, while others blend in a UNSC theme with crates, equipments and structures.

Map Layout
There are several routes that interline and lead each side (Two Spawning and lower) to the central area. In the center is a large forerunner light beam that blocks vision for each side to each team.

Below the center portion of the map is a catwalk-like lower level that allows covered access from one side to the other.

Power Weapons
Energy Sword: It is located in the middle of the map beside the centerpiece light.

Incineration Cannon: It is located in the middle of the map, a few steps away from the energy sword.

Other Weapons

  • Sniper Rifle
  • Grenades
  • Random Drop Weapons

Tips and Strategy
The main feature of this map is off course the lower portion. Many will rush forward to try to get the energy sword or incineration cannon. Hence, best bet is to throw in some grenades and catch some players with the shrapnel. While fighting out in the middle be sure to keep a wary eye out for enemy snipers, in the distance, or on top.

We recommend that you play safe and hug the walls on the outskirts of the map. Almost every player will be watching the mayhem in the middle, that gives you the opening you need.
