GTA 6 Findings Hint Towards a Release Soon

Some fans on a Grand Theft Auto leaks Discord server believe that GTA 6 is being polished and is close to being released.

Back in 2022, a big leak from Rockstar Games showed what was apparently an alpha version of GTA 6. Now, months later, it seems like fans now believe that the game’s release is imminent, and very close. Fans in a GTA-focused leaks Discord server believe the game is being polished, though of course Rockstar’s said nothing about it.

Grand Theft Auto 6 has been hotly anticipated, especially since it’s now been nearly a decade since Grand Theft Auto 5 released. That game released in 2013, and has crossed three console generations now, so it’s about time that the next game released, if it’s actually close.

The gamers who believe that the game is in its final polishing stages have based their findings on the various tags of each GTA 6 leaked video, trying to guess the progress of the game through file names. The general consensus is, again, that the game is in its final polishing stages.

Considering how big-profile releases work these days, with trailers coming out years ahead of time, it’s interesting that despite supposedly being close to finishing the game, Rockstar Games hasn’t put out any trailers for Grand Theft Auto 6. They may be waiting for the right moment, but there’s also the possibility that the game is not, in fact, almost ready.

The first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 5, for instance, came out in November of 2011, while the actual game released on September 17 of 2013. If Rockstar is putting the finishing touches on the game before release, they’ll either be sitting on it for two more years, or will be releasing it with a minimum of fanfare.

Of course, it could also mean that the game is nowhere close to being finished and those fans are wrong despite what past leaks have said, but until we actually get any kind of information from Rockstar, who knows? Until we actually do know, all that GTA fans can do is wait and hope.
