PlayStation Fans are More Excited for Ghost of Tsushima Than Death Stranding

According to a recent poll held by IGN, PlayStation fans are more excited for Ghost of Tsushima as compared to Kojima's Death Stranding.

A recent poll has revealed that PlayStation fans are more excited for Ghost of Tsushima as compared to Death Stranding.

This poll was held by IGN asking PlayStation fans about the games they are most excited for. As expected, The Last of Us 2 topped the poll with 43.1% votes, Final Fantasy 7 Remake came second with 28.8% of votes. However, the last two results surprised us. That’s because Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding received only 13.3% of the votes whereas Ghost of Tsushima managed to receive 14.8% votes.

The difference of votes between the two games is indeed little but you should know that over 20,000 people took part in this poll by IGN. That’s surprising because there’s very little that we know about Sucker Punch’s upcoming Samurai game in comparison to Death Stranding, which is expected to start a new genre with its release.

The last few months have been great for Death Stranding fans as Kojima Productions released a new trailer of the game and also detailed what’s included in Death Stranding pre-order.

In comparison to Death Stranding, the last and only trailer we saw of Ghost of Tsushima was at E3 2018. Apparently, PlayStation fans are more excited about Ghost of Tsushima due to the secrecy surrounding Sucker Punch Productions’ third-person action adventure game based in Feudal Japan.

Unfortunately, there’s no information regarding Ghost of Tsushima release date available yet. Given the information that we know about Ghost of Tsushima, it’s safe to assume that the game’s release date is not set for 2019. We can expect Sucker Punch’s Samurai game to release sometime in 2020. It can also turn out to be one of the launch titles for Sony’s PlayStation 5.

On the other hand, Death Stranding release date is set for November 8, 2019 on PlayStation 4.

Until Ghost of Tsushima arrives, PlayStation fans can check out the recreated version of the game with Media Molecule’s ‘Dreams’. For those who don’t know, Dreams is a video game, game engine and a game development kit published by Sony Interactive Entertainment exclusively for PlayStation 4 owners. It basically allows PlayStation 4 players to create their own version of games and let others try them out.

Interested folks can check out the demo of Ghost of Tsushima recreated with Dreams in the Tweet below.

Now, all that PlayStation fans can do is nothing but wait. We can expect Ghost of Tsushima to be center of attraction at PlayStation Experience which is scheduled to take place at the end of 2019.
