Razer Turret Confirms Mouse and Keyboard Support for Gears 5

Razer has unvieled its Razer Turret keyboard along with confirming mouse and keyboard support for Gears 5 on Xbox One, which is hardly surprising.

One of the most prominent parts of the announcements at CES 2019 this week was Razer unveiling its brand-new Turret Keyboard, a device said to be compatible with Xbox One. Razer is saying that they’re working on this Keyboard with Microsoft to bring a PC-like experience to the console.

Razer announced this keyboard way back in December 2018 , with a staggering price tag of $249.99. Of course, one of the first games to come with out-of-the-box support for Razer Turret will be Gears of War 5 or Gears 5. Gears 5 is expected to be released any-time this year.

Keyboard + Mouse support has already been greenlit for a number of titles on the Xbox One, including (but not limited to) Warframe and Fortnite. Both of these games will also get Razer Turret support officially.

There are also a number of other titles like War Thunder, Minecraft, Warhammer: Vermintide II, Bomber Crew, Children of Morta, DayZ, Deep Rock Galactic, Minion Masters, Moonlighter, ROBLOX, Strange Brigade, Surviving Mars, Vigor, Warface, and Wargroove.

Of course, the number of titles that will support this peripheral will certainly grow, but that entirely depends on the number of gamers that are willing to spend $249 on a controller.

You can check out the full list on Razer Turret supported games page. Do note that some game titles have been removed from the supported games page.

The first one was PubG, followed by Gears Tactics and Sims 4. We are not sure how to respond to the removal of titles from Razer Turret supported games page. We will be sure to update you if any more of the titles on the Razer Turret page gets removed.

One very interesting thing on the ‘Supported Games’ page is the “Xbox Dynamic Lighting integration”. Xbox Dynamic Lighting is used for “enabling immersive in-game lighting effects”.

We are certainly looking forward to how that is going to work. Of course, I’m looking forward to the “Chroma-ing” my Xbox One Warframe account so I can have the “premium user” experience.
