Forza Street is Microsoft’s Racing Game for Mobile Phones

Turn 10, the studio behind Forza games has accidentally leaked Microsoft’s racing game for mobile phones called Forza Street.

The leak comes directly from Turn 10 in the latest Forza Week in Review blog post. Spotted by GTplanet, an incorrectly formatted hyperlink linked to an inaccessible file that contained the rumored title. The blog post was written by community manager Brian Ekberg who seems to have posted the link by accident which is why it’s now fixed.

Here’s what the hyperlink said:

Developed in partnership with UK-based studio, Electric Square, Forza Street is built from the ground up to support a wide range of Windows 10, iOS, and Android devices.

Details are very scarce at the moment. If the rumors are true, Forza mobile game is in development by Brighton-based studio, Electric Square. The rumored studio previously partnered with Microsoft to work on Miami Street for Windows 10.

It’s safe to say that the game will be for smartphone gamers. Microsoft’s Forza Horizon franchise has some of the best racing games out there but exclusively available on Xbox platform only.

This all makes sense as it will help the company to attract gamers from its arch-rival PlayStation and mobile racing games like Asphalt. The computing giant is very interested in bringing Xbox games to new platforms so this could be somewhat the first step.

The official response from a Forza representative reads “we have nothing to announce at this time”.

The source also says that franchise director Dan Greenawalt is set to debut “Forza Monthly” in March which could bring us the announcement of this mobile game. Forza developer is known for releasing games in March. In 2016, they announced Forza Motorsport 6: Apex.

Is it the third rumored sub-title in the series? We don’t think so as the developers have confirmed that there won’t be a big console release in 2019. This release can perfectly fill in the gap until the team announces its next game in the series which is not until 2020.

Until then all the fans can enjoy Forza Horizon 4 which is now available on Xbox with One X enhancement support.

The latest installment in the franchise has turned out to be the most successful game in the series and it also had the best launch for a racing game ever on Xbox. You can grab it from the store or for free if you have Xbox Game Pass subscription.
