Fortnite Has Made More Than 1$ Billion From In-Game Transactions

Fortnite has been a huge success since its release last summer. It comes with the main story mode called Save The World which really did well and was popular but the Battle Royale mode has made the game a huge success no one ever could have imagined, also while being totally free.

Everyone knows by now that Fortnite is making loads of money by in-game transactions and a recent report tells us that it has made more than 1$ billion.  This information was revealed by a trusted industry analysis firm, SuperData Research who revealed that Fortnite has made $1 billion since its release in July 2017 which is a huge amount and another record set by Epic Games.

If you take a look at the chart above, you can see how Fortnite revenue skyrocketed to the top after the arrival of Battle Royale mode in the game. The bar was steadily increased and it got a big jump in March and it’s still going strong.

It might be a coincidence because in March, the famous Youtube streamer, Ninja played the game live on stream with the famous rapper which is none other than Drake and they did manage to break streaming records with it.

The results are fantastic considering the fact that Fortnite Battle Royale is a free game. All of the money has been made through the in-game purchases which include skins, emotes and more. It’s quite addictive too and a problem for parents nowadays.

Players have to purchase in-game currency called V-buck in Fortnite which means that the players have purchased around 100 billion V bucks in the game which makes a whole lot of skins, emotes, gliders and more.

SuperData’s report also mentions that Fortnite is not a temporary craze so it’s most likely to stay on top.
