Final Fantasy Type-0 Online Beta To Start In China This Month

Not much have been heard about the game since 2015. Now Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy Type-0 Online beta will be held this month.

Not much have been heard about Final Fantasy Type-0 online since it was announced back in 2015. Now Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy Type-0 Online beta will be held this month.

The PC and smartphone game will be getting a beta in China this month, and according to sources, Square Enix also plans to bring the Final Fantasy Type-0 Online beta to Europe, North America and Japan.

The game was announced during the Tokyo Game Show 2015 for PC and smartphones. Hajime Tabata, game director for Final Fantasy XV, announced the game saying that Final Fantasy Type-0 online will take place of Agito, thanks to the efforts of Chinese development studio, Perfect World.

Final Fantasy Type-0 Online will feature the hack and slash genre of combat, while trying to present a more mature version of the multiplayer component of Final Fantasy Type-0.

Final Fantasy Type-0 online is a sort of a successor to Final Fantasy Agito, which was a smartphone spinoff of Final Fantasy Type-0, but was shut down last year. Adding more to the confusion, Final Fantasy Type-0 was originally known as Final Fantasy Agito 13, back when Final Fantasy 13 was going to get sequels and Final fantasy XV was just a companion title in Final fantasy 13 universe.

Final Fantasy Type-0 was originally released on PSP, and then ported to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in 2015. The PC version of the game was capped at 30 frames per second, but PC gamers did not find it much of a problem.

The PC version of Final Fantasy Type-0 brought many improvements like

  • Upgraded graphics resolution.
  • Improved in-game battle camera.
  • Full controller support.
  • Full Steam achievements and trading cards.
  • Scalable motion blur settings.
  • New Character speed boost.
  • Increased blood levels from the original PSP version.
  • Customizable dynamic screen shot mode.

The reviews for the game were mixed at launch, as the game relies on how big of a fan of Final Fantasy a player is.
