Final Fantasy 14 isn’t on Xbox One Because it’s “Business,” Says Phil Spencer

First it was Street Fighter V that made it to the news for not coming to Xbox One, followed by clear remarks on the matter by the Microsoft officials and this time it is Final Fantasy 14. The massively multiplayer online game is not coming to Xbox One although it is there on rival PlayStation 4.

If you are an Xbox One fan and were hoping to get it someday, here’s your reality check. Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox division at Microsoft has discussed why their console doesn’t have the game with clear hints you are not getting it in the future too.

Spencer said that due to reasons he could not talk about the matter openly but gave a shot response stating that “it’s business.”

Moreover, Spencer himself also doesn’t sit well with the idea of third party exclusivity; he has apparently tried to get in on it but decided that he is not a really big fan of it:

As I’ve grow in this role, and I’ve tried to learn the third-party exclusivity thing – and you see us doing less of it now – [I’ve found] it’s not something I’m a huge fan of.

Final Fantasy 14 got a brand new expansion called Heavensward recently, have you tried it out? What were your impressions?
