The Crew was quite an amazing game. Although it had a lot of mixed feedback by the players, it was easy to see that it tried to revitalize the street racing games, and bring back the good old days of the early Need for Speed. The game sold quite well too, and thus it is no surprise that The Crew 2 is in the works.

The Crew 2 – What We Know!
The announcement trailer was recently released to the public, and it gives the racing fans much to look forward to. It does not matter whether you liked the original Crew or not, as the new one expands on it quite a bit. There were quite a lot of issues with the first iteration of the game, and it will be interesting to see whether The Crew 2 will be able to address the everlasting server problems or the plot holes.
Release Date And Information
The first thing that most fans of the franchise would like to know is the fact that when will the game actually be out. Fans were given a first look at the game during E3 2017, and they plan to keep the good from the original game and add stuff into it to fix all of the problems that it had. The game will be launching on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC during the first few months of 2018, which means that we should be expecting it sometime very soon.
First Impressions
The first thing that you immediately notice after watching the cinematic announcement is the fact that the game does not only stick to street racing. The original Crew was all about street racing, and there was not much else that you could do.
However, The Crew 2 seems to have a lot of different genres of racing. We have everything from the Imports burning rubber on the street to dirt bikes wreaking havoc in the desert to formula cars going up against one another on the track.
The World
This is something to rejoice about. The world seems absolutely brilliant. It is a scaled replica of United States, and you can see various different cities in an amazing recreation. Add to that, you can move from one environment to the other without any loading times, and the story is spread across the entire country.
There are four different hubs where you can practice four different disciplines of racing. There is the Street Racing hub, Pro Racing hub, Freestyle hub, and Off-road hub. The story does not seem that complicated. As far as we can see, it is about being the best racer in the country. You take on different races, and try to be the best in all of them.
What We Want to See
Since the game is based on multiplayer, it does not seem apt to have a deep story. Of course, that does not seem to be the case anymore, as the new story seems like a bare bones version of Need for Speed Shift or Project Cars. This will also allow people to have custom characters rather than seeing the same face every time.
It would be nice to have a progression system which is different. Having parts tied to levels would not be an amazing idea.
Of course, there are multiple disciplines in The Crew 2 so chances are that there would not be that many upgrades available in the first place. However, having some minor customization options for all of your cars would make the game feel much more personal, and it would feel like you are working towards something rather than simply winning races for the sake of it.
