There hasn’t been very much new permanent content for Star Wars Battlefront 2 lately, though apparently E3 2018 has changed all of that. EA has since revealed the Star Wars Battlefront 2 roadmap, showing us what we’re going to be seeing for the near future with the game including new maps, heroes, and more.
The last bit of new content for Star Wars Battlefront 2 that’s stuck around is the game’s new content that was added along with Star Wars The Last Jedi, which gave us a new ground map (the planet of Crait), a new space map (in orbit over the planet D’Qar) and a number of new heroes including Captain Phasma, Finn, and a Resistance pilot, Tallissan Lintra (who pilots an A-wing).
While since then we got an Ewok Hunt mode, there hasn’t been much else being added to the game. However, the Star Wars Battlefront 2 roadmap has shown us a lot of new stuff coming. To start off with we’ll be getting a new Hero Starfighters battle mode, allowing the best pilots in the galaxy on both sides to fight one another.
Other additional content was announced at E3 to be including the Battle of Geonosis, where the Clone Wars began, along with two new villains to play as, Count Dooku and General Grievous. Obi-Wan Kenobi will also be coming as a hero. Players will now also be able to battle one another in the spice mines of Kessel, along with new heroes in the form of a younger Han Solo and a younger Lando Calrissian, are also coming.
Alongside all of the new content, the Star Wars Battlefront 2 roadmap promised a number of quality-of-life changes, such as the ability to change appearances, balancing with heroes who now have to use stamina to deflect blaster bolts, and the ability to turn a hero’s lightsaber on and off at will.
