Source Temple Puzzle Solution
Step on the floor switch to open the first door. You’ll need to step on the pressure pads in some of the rooms ahead. However, not all of them are safe.

Next to the giant head, there’s a pressure pad – step on it and then head into the room on the right. Step on the one in this room as well, which will open the door to the left. Go through the door to the third room.

In the third room, avoid the pressure pad, as it will release poison gas, which will spell your doom. You need to search the walls in the third chamber to find a hidden switch that will open the next doorway.

In the next area, there is a wrecked bridge that needs to be crossed somehow. You’ll need to use the Teleport Pyramid for this – access your inventory, and then drag the pyramid from your inventory to the other side of the bridge to throw it there. Once you do, you can teleport across.

Once you’re on the other side, look for a door past the wreckage to unveil a teleportation waypoint. Activate the Temple Vault waypoint to reach the next section of this puzzle.

Inside the vault, you will have to destroy the correct statue here. If you destroy the wrong one, you’ll be teleported to the start of the temple. Not good. There are clues here suggesting which one is the correct statue, but it’s highly recommended that you save your game here to prevent starting the temple all over again.

Once you have figured out which statue it is, destroy it, then throw your Teleport Pyramid into the treasury and teleport inside. Step through the mirror here to collect the Earth Key, then grab your pyramid and return to the central chamber.

Head upstairs now and search for a secret switch on the wall, located to the right of the stairs. It really helps if you have a character with a high perception of this, as the switch is quite hard to find. It’s to the left of the door and can be a little annoying to spot.

Once you do manage to spot it, activate it and then open the Earth Door with the key. Inside, kill the enemies, then follow the next set of clues to find the correct statue to destroy here so you can claim the Air Key.

Again, make sure you save before destroying the statue.

Head back to the central chamber, and then step on that very same pressure pad next to the giant head that you stepped on at the start of the puzzle. Go into the next area and step on the second pad as well like before.

In the third room, there was a pressure pad that would activate poison gas. This time around you have to step on it; in order to do so, you’ll need to toss your Teleport Pyramid into the previous room, then step on the pressure pad, and immediately teleport to save yourself from the poison gas. The Air Door should open now.

Past the Air Door is a labyrinth of hallways – you’ll need to make your way to the center of the area. In the middle, you’ll find a closed door. Throw your Teleport Pyramid through and find the switch to open the gate. You’ll now have to destroy your final statue by taking the help of the clues (be sure to save again!).

Return to the central chamber once you’re done.

One last thing remains now, as you’ll have to light up candles in a specific order. This has to be done in accordance with the statues that you had destroyed. Whenever you light up the candles correctly, a lightning strike will appear. Three lightning strikes are what you need to open the bookcase to the next area.

These are the ways you can light up the candles:

  • Light all candles, except the center candle.
  • Light only the center candle.
  • Light only the three horizontal candles.

The order in which you do these varies according to the statues you destroyed, so switch them around (don’t worry, there’s no penalty here).
