The digital version of Forza Motorsport 7 will take up about a hundred gigabytes on your Xbox One and PC, according to a new report from Microsoft. 100 gigabytes is a significant portion of the entire memory of an Xbox One console, no matter its variant, but hopefully there’s enough content to be worth it.
Even with games getting bigger and more beautiful as the gaming industry uses better and better technology to develop them, a single game that takes up a hundred gigabytes is almost unheard of, so if the report is true and Forza Motorsport 7 does take up that much space on a console, many players might be better off getting the physical copies.
The newest Forza Motorsport game was only announced this past weekend at E3, so we don’t really know what all will be in it, though it’s likely that there will be a huge number of different cars and tracks that are responsible for the huge amount of space that the game will be taking up.
With a game franchise that’s focusing on racing of all sorts, there’s no surprise that there will likely be several hundred cars in the new Forza Motorsport game, not to mention several dozen tracks at least.
That’s not even going into the various modes of racing and minigames that would be happening in a Forza game, such as the soccer and infection modes that have been in past Forza Motorsport games. Either way, there will always be the fact that Forza Motorsport 7 is going to end up taking a huge amount of memory up whether you’re on the Xbox One or on a PC.
Forza Motorsport 7 will be coming out in October of this year for the Xbox One, Xbox One X, and PC, so if you have a console with a big enough hard drive, and are a Forza fan, go for it.
