Devil May Cry 5 is on the verge of release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Early impressions and reviews paint a great picture for console and PC gamers. However, PS4, Xbox One, and PC gamers may not be the only ones to enjoy Devil May Cry 5 in the coming months. If a statement from Devil May Cry 5 developers is any indication, there is a strong possibility of seeing a Nintendo Switch version of Devil May Cry 5.
Speaking in a recent interview, Itsuno and Devil May Cry 5 producer Matt Walker commented on a Devil May Cry game on Nintendo Switch. While this game may not be Devil May Cry 5, the latest installment is the most likely one to be ported to Switch in the coming months.
We haven’t announced anything for Switch, right. We personally would love to play a Devil May Cry game on Switch
There is no word regarding if and when we will ever see a Devil May Cry game on Switch. But Capcom is known for making the decision based on fan feedback and demand. Resident Evil 2 Remake is the result of fan feedback and demand. Soon after the success of Resident Evil 2 Remake, Capcom fans started to demand a remake for Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. The game is one of the most popular entries into the franchise as it introduced Nemesis.
Capcom came out to comment on the remake by saying that the company makes decisions based on fan feedback. If there is enough demand for another Resident Evil remake, there will consider making another.
Same goes for Devil May Cry 5 or Devil May Cry custom made for Nintendo Switch. If there is enough noise, Capcom will respond to it and create a Devil May Cry game for Nintendo’s handheld gaming system.
If the game comes to Switch, it will release sometime later this year.
