Devil May Cry 5 Early Impressions: The Fans Love It, Want Global Demo

Devil May Cry 5 is playable at Gamescom 2018 and some people have had a go at the game. We have started getting footage of the demo on the internet and I have already talked about how I feel about the demo. Here we are going to see what the fans think about the Devil May Cry 5 demo. The response of the fans has been very positive indeed and they seem to love the demo.

There are people that could not make it to Gamescom 2018 and they are asking for a global release of the demo and I think that is a great idea. I am sure Capcom can get it done, maybe not right away, but in the near future. This needs to be out there for everyone to check out. According to Phazon@Phazon4G:

Combat felt incredibly fluid and nice, always found DMC IV a bit slow-ish (used to bayonetta) but V nails it without feeling to different. A couple of demon fights in a very detailed and nice city (could pop balloons with my sword and gun) and then the Goliath boss fight.

ResetEra user SilentRob also had some very positive things to say about the game and the following is what he had to say in this regard:

Just played it, it’s pretty OK! Nah, kidding, it was great. The arm is actually an item you you find on the battlefield. There are 2 different types of arms in the demo – one gives you a kind of airdash and general mobility, the other pulls targets to you. You can make the arm explode to damage a lot of enemies or hold B for several seconds to unleash a kind of ultimate attack – one was a sticky bomb, the other some kind of water laser thingy. Both attacks break the arm, so if you don’t have any more you run around with only one arm. Was pretty easy to get s-ranks, overall the demo wasn’t hard at all but that’s to be expected. All the old combos seemed to work. No frame rate problems. Seems good.

Snausages moved on to talk about the pacing of the game and how it was very very fluid indeed. The following is what he had to say in this regard:

The movement is great tho, there’s something in there. Either it’s the almost zero recovery or it’s that the interstitial movements are so fluid it looks like zero recovery. But also I’m certain that this Nero is just way more zippier. Like DMC is very rigid with all the lockon stuff and this still has that as a requirement to access its moveset it looks like, but also the movement there looks so good but I need to play this now

Obviously, all the comments regarding Devil May Cry 5 were not all that positive and fans did have some pointers. One has been bought up by ResetEra user Valh0, who said:

Honestly the only thing i am not feeling is the Devil Breakers….breaking, and then you just find them randomly in the game world. Imo it would have been better if you use one for too long it overheats and you switch to another one until it cools down, instead of getting destroyed and limiting you until you find another one.

We have talked about plenty of lore concerning Devil May Cry 5. I think that Vergil will be part of the game and that one of the sons of Sparda will die in this game. For more information regarding DMC5 stay tuned.
