Devil May Cry 5 First Ever Playable Demo Confirmed For Gamescom 2018

Game director Hideaki Itsuno confirmed that the Devil May Cry 5 demo is now complete and fans will be able to try it out at Gamescom 2018.

Devil May Cry 5 was revealed at E3 2018 but there was no playable demo of the game at the event. That is about to change as Capcom will be bringing the first ever playable Devil May Cry 5 demo at Gamescom 2018.

Game director Hideaki Itsuno confirmed through his official Twitter account that the Devil May Cry 5 demo is now complete and fans will be able to try it out at Gamescom 2018.

Gamescom 2018 will take place next week on August 21 and continue till August 25, 2018.

Aside from Capcom, other studios like Ubisoft, Square Enix, Sega and THQ Nordic will be bringing Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Darksiders 3, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and more.

Speaking of Gamescom 2018, Nvidia will also be present there and has promised “Spectacular Surprises” at Gamescom 2018.

Nvidia has also noted that the “event will be loaded with new, exclusive, hands-on demos of the hottest upcoming games, stage presentations from the world’s biggest game developers, and some spectacular surprises.”

The last entry in the Devil May Cry franchise, DMC: Devil May Cry, has been heavily criticized by hardcore DM fans.

However, Capcom is very confident about Devil May Cry 5 and believes that it will please the Fanbase that is still quite large.

The project was born because of what the fans want. This project would never have been greenlit if it didn’t make sense business-wise. We rarely have crazy forecasts on any of our games. DMC 5 will please a fanbase that is still quite big.

Capcom also talked about DMC: Devil May Cry saying that it was a very good game but there were some fans there weren’t pleased with it.

The last game was very good, but there were a few unhappy voices because it wasn’t a direct sequel and other things. Because of that, the dev team sat down and asked: ‘Where do we take that next?’ And it was known that the community wanted Devil May Cry 5 to be closer to 1, 2 and 3. And so the project was born.

Devil May Cry 5 is an action-adventure game in development at Capcom and is scheduled to launch in 2019 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
