Destiny Pre-orders Begin Via PSN, First Title to Support Pre-Loading on PS4

Destiny Pre-Orders are now available via PSN. Pre-Ordering the game will not only get you into beta, but will also let you Pre-Load it on PS4.

The pre-orders for Bungie’s upcoming open-world FPS title Destiny have begun on PSN. It is also the first Playstation 4 title to support Pre-Loading.

Fans who have pre-ordered the game on the Playstation 4 will have the option of Pre-loading the game before its September 9 release date, allowing them to have the game ready to play the very second it launches. In order to avail the pre-load feature, you will have to make sure that your automatic updates are on.

And for those interested in playing the game soon should pre-order the game since it guarantees access to the beta phase which starts this July on both Playstation 3 and Playstation 4. Anyone who has already pre-ordered the game but has not signed up for the beta needs to register at Bungie.net and link his/her PSN ID to it.

This also means that the much anticipated pre-loading feature won’t go live until September. That’s not that bad actually as there won’t be many games (requiring large downloads) between now and September on PS4.

Destiny is quite an ambitious project for Bungie and they are hoping to live up to the hype that has been build around the game since its reveal. I for instance am quite curious to see how the fast paced shooting experience will work along the old school MMO elements. What about you?
