Nolan North: Bungie Already Has Plans For Destiny 3

Bungie has revealed a lot about its upcoming game, Destiny 2, during last week’s gameplay reveal which showcased the world without the light and Guardians have to fight the Red Legion to take back what is there’s. While Destiny 2 is set to launch this fall but according to Nolan North, The studio has plans for Destiny 3.

According to Reddit user, JakusSlayer, who attended the Supanova Expo in Melbourne, Australia, he himself talked Nolan North at the event where Nolan revealed that he has signed the contract with Bungie for next 10 years and Bungie already knows where Destiny 3 will go in terms of story.

He did however mention that when he replaced Peter Dinklage as ‘Ghost’ he said that the contract he signed with Bungie & Activision was “for the next 10 years at least”. He also said with Bungie’s current road map, Bungie/Nolan already have some idea of where D3 is headed in terms of story.

While Destiny 2 will be releasing for PC along with consoles, unlike the first game, many are wondering if the game will come to Nintendo Switch or not. Well, according to Bungie, the game will not come to Switch because it is pretty unrealistic as it will not be able to support the MMO nature of the game.

I think it’s pretty unrealistic, given we’re an online-only game, right? The Switch, because it’s a portable – and I love my Switch, I’ve got Breath of the Wild here, I’ve got it with me. It’s incredible, I love the console, but in terms of where it’s at, I don’t want leave anyone with the possibility of, like, ‘it’s a thing we’ll consider, maybe next year.’ There’s no plans right now for Switch.

Also, the PC version of Destiny 2 has been delayed and Bungie is still undecided for the release date of the PC version. However, that is not all, Bungie has also confirmed that the PC version will not have dedicated servers.

Destiny 2 is a first-person action shooter and is scheduled to launch on September 8, 2017, for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and the PC version of the game will launch at a later date.
