Destiny 2 On PC Will Have “Meaningful Features”, Will Have A Steady Stream Of Content To Keep Up With Demand

Destiny 2 gameplay reveal will happen later this month and fans are excited to see what the sequel will have to offer. While Destiny was a console exclusive but Destiny 2 will launch for PC along with current gen consoles and according to Activision, the PC version of the game will not be simply a console port.

During the post-earnings conference call, Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg acknowledged that the main issue with Destiny was that it could not keep up a steady stream of content to keep up with the player’s demand and reiterated that Destiny sequel will have a steady stream of content.

Destiny’s engagement has been the best in Activision’s history. We now have a lot of confidence that we’re going to be able to keep up with demand with that steady stream of content and sort of keep pace with our players’ engagement post-release of Destiny 2. As you know, with Destiny 2’s content, we’re coupling Bungie’s great visionary leadership with multiple AAA developers that have a proven track record here at Activision to help us make sure we have just one great piece of content after another to keep the community engaged.

He also talked about the PC version of the game saying “We’re committed to delivering meaningful features that are bespoke for the PC community”.

Not much is known about the upcoming Destiny sequel except what is revealed by the reveal trailer for the game. However, Activision might have accidently given a clue about the game’s world and story.

The clue comes from the invitations for the Destiny 2 reveal event which welcomes attendees to a “world without light”. For those of you who have played Destiny know that light plays an important role in the game as it is essential to grow stranger and power up. This could be a hint that after the attack on the last city that light is no more.

Destiny 2 is a first-person shooter in development at Bungie and is scheduled to launch this fall for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Also, the gameplay reveal will be taking place on May 18, 2017.
